I don't know why everybody hates finals and gets so stressed out about them. I think they are just like midterms, except a lot better. They are better because you don't have to go to class or do homework anymore in between studying and taking your tests. You just have to study and take your tests! I would take a finals week over a midterm week any day.
As for my other whys...
Why do all snickerdoodle recipes call for 1 cup of butter when I only have 3/4 cup of the stuff? Would it be bad if I stuck in 1/4 cup of oil to make up for the bit of butter that I'm missing?
Why do people actually want to live in Utah? I think it is mostly just cold and dry and ugly here.
4 sylw:
yes, it would be bad. Can't you borrow butter from a neighbor?
When I make Snickerdoodles, I actually split the butter into 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup shortening. Not sure if this helps you out...but I tend to think the cookies turn out better that way. Maybe.
Most recipes do call for the 1/2 shortening, 1/2 butter thing. Unfortunately, I am in use up all the food I have left before I move mode, and I have neither the time nor the inclination to go buy shortening.
Agreed about Utah. I'd rather live in AZ. Which is dry, a different kind of ugly/beauty but its nice and warm or super hot depending on the day. Much more my cup of hot chocolate than Utah coldness! I do like southern UT a lot though..
