breakfast with the big wigs

Today I have been home from my mission for exactly 18 months. Granted, I was on my mission for 18 months and 19 days, if you count the MTC, but I was in Washington for exactly 18 months.

It's gone by pretty fast.

I thought I might let you know what I've been up to.

This morning I had breakfast with the dean of the College of Humanities. We had two kinds of quiche (spinach and ham - the spinach one was better than the ham one), hashbrowns, multigrain bagels with cream cheese, and orange juice. The dean also said he had his own personal stash of yogurt and granola, but the food provided was enough for me.
Also, did you know that there is an Eisteddfod chair in the dean's conference room? I actually already knew this, because I'd been there once before to sing with the Welsh choir. I asked him if anybody ever sat in it (I half expected him to sit in it at breakfast, but he didn't).

It's surprisingly comfortable.

Sorry for the poor picture quality. The dean took that on his iPhone.
