help me teach with inspiration

I still have a few internship hours to finish this semester, so I decided to do a little tutoring at the ELC. I thought I'd have it easy this time, going from an entire class to just one student. Then yesterday I got my tutoring assignment and found out that, not only does my student hardly speak any English (which was no surprise - I'm doing Foundations Prep again), but he's blind!

Now I'm starting to realize just how much I relied on acting things out and drawing pictures on the Board when my students didn't understand what I was saying.

It sounds like you will need a very large bag of objects. Bring in a huge basket of different fruits one day, and clothing items the next. Walk him around the classroom and let him touch everything. I'm pretty sure you intuited that one on your own though, so talking about everything ELSE you're supposed to teach? Yeah, I have no idea. Let me know how it goes, though. It sounds like a fascinating challenge!

I bet your homeschooling background will help. Home schoolers, especially in your family, seem to show a lot of ingenuity when it comes to learning/teaching. I'm excited to hear what works!
